Gautier, MS. Missionary Trip

Here are just a few of the pictures I had taken while on a missionary trip to Gautier, Mississippi just days after the arrival of Katrina. Destruction was everywhere, but the only thing that The Refuge Assembly of God Church lost was its electricity.

Many Christians today are compromising their principles in what they know is right or in line with God's Word for their own personal fame or for the riches of this world. Success by the world's standard is greatly different from that of God's. The world says, "Gain all you can," but God's Word says, Godliness with contentment is great gain. 1Tim 6:6
It grieves my heart to say this, but there are many Christian ministers today who have compromised their loyalty to God's Word. They know that most of their congregation doesn't want to hear the grim facts about abortion or homosexuality so they will avoid these subjects in their sermons for fear that it will offend someone.
I feel as thou I should re-address the issue of a Christian's thoughts on the abortion and homosexuality issues. Christians are known more for their actions then for what they say. Their actions when under stress or duress will show us what is in their true heart, revealing whether or not that they truly believe God's Word.
Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins. James 4:17
Most Americans today have traded their integrity for the lusts of what they think is the good life, thinking more highly of themselves then what they should and that it was from only their own abilities that they have succeeded in this world. If you are living the self-centered life you will soon realize that you are on the road to destruction. We have created a society that is more concerned about the abuse to animals then the murder of their very own sons and daughters through abortion; how sick is that?

Their feet are swift to shed blood: ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Their greedy motives are for money and power and we can certainly see this more prevalently in Washington DC with all three branches of our government and with many on Wall Street and with corporate leadership; but the real sad fact here is, this greed is embedded in all of us and it is how we react to these evil desires that will reveal the difference between the non-Christian and the true Christian. Saying you are a Christian means nothing when your actions towards the abortion and homosexuality issues reveal otherwise...

This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace though the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Traveling Across America

This first picture was taken in 2007 on I-90 crossing the Snoqualmie Pass in Washington.

There are thousands of beautiful sites all across America and being an over the road truck driver I have seen some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises, but the most rewarding events have been meeting so many different people and sharing the love of Christ with them.

The Christian

Maybe I should explain what I think a true Christian is: what many would call a radical Christian. He is one that believes that the Bible is the very Word of God, divinely given to the writers as they wrote His Word down. He knows that the Bible is the only book in history that can prove its' own authenticity. The radical Christian feels that he must obey God's Word first and above all else offer the love of Christ Jesus to even those who might hate the Christian. He hates the sin, but loves the sinner. He should be willing to share the Good News of Salvation, which comes through Christ Jesus only.
The LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD's commands and decrees. We might sum this up to say, the fear of God is a reverent heartfelt submission to the greatness of God and His authority.
In the book of Psalm: Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
In my travels last week I was witnessing to a young man that said he believes God has turned away from Israel because of their disobedience and they will not be rescued as it speaks in the Book of Revelation. I know God's promised covenant with Abraham and his decenants will never be erased. He has always been true to His Word and He will give Israel the peace that she has sought for over two thousand years.

Be fruitful this week my Brothers and Sisters, for the time is near...
