Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge

When I watched this video the other day I was overcome by the fact that I to, am still not the man that God wants me to be. I had failed as a husband and a Father several years ago. Now, I am a work in progress-a work that will not be completed until that final day.

January 1991, God gave me a dream of being lowered into the depths of the earth on a platform and as the platform was descending I looked up to see a very tiny spark of light, which looked to be miles above me. After feeling a jolt of the platform settling on the bottom, although there was no light I could make out the form of tunnels, one after another lining the bottom of the pit. Suddenly hearing blood curdling screams coming from the tunnels, I jump up in bed terrified and shaking.... I had this same dream two more times that night and three times the second and third nights... Talk about stubborn and hardheaded... the third time on the third night after jumping out of bed I went to the floor on my knees, crying out, "God, I can't go through this without You." That night, I asked for His forgiveness and renewed my vows accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, who is my only hope in this life. I then laid back down and immediately went back into a dream of being in the depths of the earth again, but this time I was laying in His hands and He lifted me up out of the depths of the earth into the light.
Now I must admit that I haven't been perfect since that night, but that was one of my biggest wake up calls as to just how great and real is our God.
I started recalling all the amazing events that He has done in my life and since that night I haven't given up seeking Him with all of my heart, mind and soul.. God does have a purpose for each of us who will seek Him...

David wrote, Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. Psalm 119:2
The Apostle Paul wrote, To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. Romans 2:7-8

You may fine His assurances written all through the Bible, both in the Old and New Testament, for the knowledge of His will is available for all who seek the truth.
Deny the spiritual truths in the Bible and you will miss the greatest discovery of life, Jesus Christ, who is the truth in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

I wonder at times, how is it that someone like me, with very little education can see this so clearly and so many of the highly educated teachers, professors, lawyers, doctors, scientists, to name just a few can't seem to grasp the wonders and knowledge of God?
Here are just a few verses of thousands that may help convince someone.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. Proverbs 14:16

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 26:12

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Isaiah 5:21

For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." 1 Corinthians 1:19

The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Proverbs 15:33

Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1 Corinthians 1:20

And one of my most favorite verses.. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

A Bible Study

This is a Bible study taken from the Bible Pathway Ministry website; hopefully, to show you how easy it is to read through the Bible in one year, using their guide through the Bible in 15 minutes a day.

December 13, 2008
Read Hebrews 5 -- 7

Highlights In Today's Reading:

Jesus' position in our lives is #1 — His preeminence and finality as High Priest (not merely looking for His gifts or blessings)! Note Jesus' superior priestly qualifications (5:1-10), and His Priestly Order (7:1-28). Believers are warned of the danger of not maturing spiritually (5:11-6:20).
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In Israel, there was a vast difference between the high priest and the other priests. Only the high priest was permitted annually to enter the Holy of Holies and into the very presence of God. He alone bore on his forehead the golden crown with the words: Holiness to the Lord (Ex. 28:36-38), and only he could offer sacrifices for the sins of the nation and intercede on the annual Day of Atonement.

In the Old Testament, a sinless animal took the place of an Israelite and was slain in his place for his sin. Thus, the devout Jew was continually reminded that it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul (Lev. 17:11). But, the need for numerous sacrifices ceased on the day Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross for our sins as the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29). He (also) became the Author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him (Heb. 5:9).

How thankful we are that mercy is an attribute of God, for it is one of our greatest daily needs. Mercy is an expression of His willingness to forgive sinners and deliver them from eternal hell. Mercy is a practical demonstration of love and compassion. But, because God is holy, He must also enforce the penalty for sin without respect of persons (I Pet. 1:17), and the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23).

Under the Levitical priesthood, it was written many times that God is merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin (Ex. 34:6-7). How much more we can be assured of God's mercy through Christ, our exalted Lord, making intercession for us (Heb. 7:25; 9:24)!

Our highest privilege is to press on to be like Him and treasure the will of God as the most precious thing in our life. Too often our trouble is not that we do not know the will of God but, rather, that we do not yield to His will when He makes it clear.

Christ's soon return should be our strongest motivation to do the Savior's will. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works (Titus 2:13-14).

Thought for Today:

"Resting" in Jesus' finished work of grace is deceptive and assumes there is nothing for us to do. Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only (James 1:22).

God's Newest Little Angel

Another senseless murder; this time of a precious little Innocent nine year girl killed on a Chicago street last night. We can't cry out to God to ask, why? We know the answer to that, it is because we live in a fallen world, a world full of sin. A world that has gone so wrong, that life has no meaning for so many who walk our streets. Many who would rather pull a gun or a knife out to settle an argument then to stand up and settle the argument like a real man with character and honor.

Police Supt. Jody Weis said the shooting that left Chastity Turner dead was gang-related. "We're interviewing a lot of people right now. We've got some very, very good leads. I'd like to thank everybody in the city of Englewood for reaching out; they were good citizens. We've got great witnesses and that case is moving along favorable. All the indications right now are it's a gang-related shooting."

Update-Two people are in custody in Wednesday night’s drive-by slaying of a 9-year-old girl who was outside her grandmother’s house washing her dog when she was shot in the neck, police said.
But this is very little comfort to the Mother and Father and all her loved ones, who are left behind to grieve for this child.

Nearly two thousand years ago there was another Mother and Father to grieve the death of their precious innocent Son, Jesus. But the murder of this Son had been in the planning stage for more then three thousand years earlier. A murder that would set the world inhabitants free from all sin's bondage. A murder that was actually cheered on by the leaders of the community, leaders that were so blinded by their own greed for power that they could not see the source of all life, the light of the world which stood before them.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

A Supernatural Spiritual Event

I believe that a person can't really understand just How Great Is Our God if they aren't at least in a good daily reading/studying program with the Bible, or if they haven't had a real life supernatural spiritual event.

June 1978, I raised my hands to murder a co-worker and with my hands within an inch of killing Dan the lights suddenly went out, not in the building that we were working in, but on me. I closed my eyes and shook my head and opened my eyes to see my four year old daughter and my eight year old son standing in a garden setting before me; they reach out with both hands and said, "No Daddy, don't! No Daddy, don't!" The lights went out again and I closed my eyes and shook my head and then I opened my eyes again to see Dan. I backed away from him and leaning over a handrail several feet away, I started thanking and praising God that He knew, short of giving me a heart attack, what to show me, to stop me from murdering this co-worker.

Why is it that man wants to compromise on God's Word? Even many of the Christians today are eager to make their own decisions on critical issues, saying that they sincerely believe this or that is right for them, but not accepting what God's Word says... Issues of pride of life, abortion and immoral sexual behavior being three of the most common errors that man will make, based upon their own life experiences and refusing to seek God's desires on these issues; but all so often rushing into a decision that could very easily haunt them for the rest of their lives.

It is human nature to base our opinions of what we think, see or hear, or to be influenced by prejudice, social pressure or personal desires and our judgments at best, are imperfect. We all have sinned, because we have a inherited sin nature within us.
Desiring to be like the majority has caused many to ignore the Bible and seek counsel with those who are not followers of Christ; God leaves the choice for us to accept or reject His Word. Many situations occur today which provides the non-Christians opportunities to ridicule Christianity and dishonor our LORD; because of the inconsistencies and sins of many Christians. The non-Christian rejoices at this discovery and is eager to broadcast the fall or failures of those Christians and in some way the non-believer will use this to excuse their own sins.

Many of those unrighteous decisions will bring about devastating consequences. But for a Christian to confess his sins without intending to forsake them is self deception. Only by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit can we accomplish the LORD'S will, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of His Word.
Jesus promised His followers, And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for He lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17 When He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13 The Holy Spirit will indwell all true Christians. Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Act 2:38

One of the most pressing need today is for the Christian to be serious about reading and studying the Bible. God speaks to us through His Word and as we read the Bible our acts of disobedience, be it by ignorance or on purpose will be brought to the light by the Holy Spirit reminding us, that this is sin and then we will feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit for these acts of sin. Speaking of the Holy Spirit Jesus said, When he comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world (Satan) now stands condemned. John 16:8-11

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

When we accept JESUS as our LORD and SAVIOR and confess our sins with a real desire to forsake them, then God is ready and willing to forgive our sins and strengthen us through the power of Holy Spirit to live a life pleasing to Him.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Rom 8:16-17
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:37-39
This is why I praise my God, The God of All Creation for His Mercies, Love, Forgiveness, Grace and the most awesome gift of eternal Salvation by the precious Blood of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

MY REDEEMER LIVES

In the Old Testament one of the greatest revelation of life after death, when his closest friends and even his wife had criticized and misunderstood him, Job spoke with great insight, no doubt led by God when he said: I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. Job 19:25-27
Although God allowed Satan to test Job's faithfulness by causing the tragic death of his children and the loss of his health and wealth; Job rested in the assurance that his Redeemer would come to his defense and that he would be justified by his faith in an all knowing and seeing God.
According to the Law, a redeemer was the next of kin who was responsible for buying freedom for the enslaved relative or to buy back his lost inheritance. This redeemer foreshadowed the coming Savior-Redeemer, CHRIST JESUS.
This revelation blesses millions of suffering people today as it has throughout history who declares through faith: I know that my Redeemer lives.

God may allow Satan to afflict great pain and grief into our lives, just as he did in Job's life, that our faith in Him may be tested. Job could have become bitter against God, but instead, his faith in God was even made stronger.
God in His great mercy will forgive our sins, but this old biblical principle remains even to this day: That what man sows, that shall he reap.

Because the true Christian has a personal relationship with God, we too can have the faith of Job... Rom 8:37-39
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 14:1-2
Every trial or tribulation that comes our way is another opportunity to draw us closer to God, for us to become more like the person He wants us to be.
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. John 5:24-27

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

END TIMES PROPHECIES

Last April on a trip from New Jersey to Jacksonville, FL., I was sharing the messages that God has given me to a man in New Jersey, and the next day to a man in South Carolina: Both of these men informed me that they were watching for the Two Witnesses to appear at the Wailing Wall.
Glory be to the One True God, God the FATHER, God the SON, and God the HOLY SPIRIT, for You have made it clear to those whom have accepted the KING of kings and LORD of lords, CHRIST JESUS as their SAVIOR, that we are nearing the end of the age.

Here's my word of encouragement to you. Do not be upset or depressed; there is great hope for those who await the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. God does not want any man, woman, or child to perish. This is the nature of our heavenly Father, Who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4; The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.2 Peter 3:9.
Nevertheless, things will get alarming as we approach the end of the age. That's why Jesus said in Luke 21:9, "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."
Who can deny that these days are already upon us? This is all the more reason for us to share our faith in CHRIST JESUS with those who have not believed. Our LORD provides the ultimate word of hope and encouragement, "Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near." Luke 21:31.
The Day of The Lord is the glorious event I have waited for. The true Christian must continue to share the good news, and in doing this we become part of God's final plan for the ages as He continues to pour out His Spirit on all flesh and soon to come, His final Judgments.

PAUL HARVEY'S ON AIR PRAYER

This Pastor Has Guts.

It seems prayer still upsets some people. Please read....

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of
the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities,
but this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father, We come before you today To ask your
forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good." But
that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and Called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it
building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it
ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and
called it Freedom of speech and expression.
We have ridiculed the time Honored values of our Forefathers
and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, And know our hearts today; Cleanse us from
every sin and set us free, Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us tothe center of Your will and to openly ask these things in the name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!"

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked Out
during the prayer in protest.
In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright
is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of
those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving
international requests for copies of this prayer from India,
Africa and Korea .

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program,
"The Rest of the Story," and received a larger response to this
program than any other he has ever aired.

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and
wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called,
"One nation under God."

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends "If you
don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."

In HIM All Things Hold Together

Louie Giglio's videos of HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD Tour can be viewed on YouTube

Colossians 1:17
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

God Is The Same Today

Since 1994 I have had several people ask me why I am so negative about America's future. My reply is that I will not dilute or cover over the truth of God's warnings for America. Whenever there is a chance that I might be able to help open someone’s eyes and ears to the truth of God's Word, His amazing Love and to speak His warnings for America, I must make the effort to do so. Yes, many have said, that little bald headed man is crazy, but then aren't we all a little crazy in one way or another? Even my two sisters believed I was crazy in Dec. 1994. They were standing in the kitchen when I came up to the counter and said, "The ones who were behind the World Trade Center bombing last year will be back to hit this building again, and when they do, they will bring this building all the way down to the ground. (Eze. 33:1-6)
Although, I feel as thou 60 is yet a young age, my body has a lot of aches and pains, but my LORD gives me the strength from day to day to continue on with the work He has given me to do and I will not stop until the LORD calls me home.

I have also heard many, who lacked the knowledge and wisdom of the Word of God, say that God does not give visions, dreams, or spoken messages any more, and several have told me that we who think He does, are as crazy as those who are giving their hard earned money to the churches and believing everything that these crazy ministers are saying.

The Bible, which is God breathed, is to be our guide through this life, revealing that we live in a spiritual realm and the Bible is the only book with the absolute truth that can lead us to live a Christian life. The Bible assures us that God is the same today as He was 2000 years ago with His disciples, or 3000 years ago with King David, or 5000 years ago with Abraham and even 6000 years ago as He was with Adam and Eve and as He will be forever and ever. So, maybe your god doesn't give visions, dreams or spoken messages, but I assure you the One True God is still just as much involved with His children lives as He has ever been throughout history.

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." 2 Peter 3-4

Proverbs 1:5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance- 10:14 Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin. 12:15 The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. 13:20 He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. 14:16 A wise man fears the LORD and shuns evil, but a fool is hotheaded and reckless. 15:7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools. 19:20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise. 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.

Even the most powerful nation in all the world, with the best armed and greatest fighting men, with its wealth and even with its nuclear capabilities cannot survive when the nation and its leaders repeatedly reject the Word of God. America's destruction is coming in God's timing; and many as they lay dying in our streets will cry out: "God, why are You letting this happen to America?" And many, even in their darkest hour will refuse to repent of their sins and accept JESUS as their LORD and SAVIOR.

JESUS said. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Rev. 21:6-8
