Truth vs. Deception

Why is it that the non-Christians think they are so much wiser than Christians? Granted, most are easily smarter than this Christian but having a higher education with degrees and titles mean nothing if there is no godly wisdom...

God has given man the proof of His existence through His WORD where man can examine the many scientific facts, pertaining to the earth, the universe, the oceans, man and even medical knowledge all of which were written down in ancient times.
Archaeological facts found within the Bible have also been proven to authenticate the accuracy of God's WORD. Many events in the Bible which previously considered as just tales or stories were proved by archaeological excavations to be historical. In Palestine, places and towns, frequently mentioned in the Bible are being brought into the light of day and look exactly as the Bible describes them and are located exactly where the Bible says they were. Scholars encounter more and more inscriptions and monuments with the names of people mentioned in the Old and New Testament.

These events and scientific facts have been recorded with an accuracy that is nothing less than startling, having been written within the Bible 2000 years more or less before scientists and archaeologists discovered these facts to be true.... The accuracy of these facts can only be attributed to the inspiration of God.
However, the narrow minded non-Christians who wish to discredit God have chosen to ignore these facts in order to attack God's WORD in every way possible. These non-Christians having read selected parts from the Old Testament, with arrogance claim God to being a vicious, vengeful, murderous God who loved slavery. How foolish is it that man could believe that he is just as smart as God who literally spoke the existence of the world into being and then set it into motion?

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

Man lacks the understanding of the times and conditions that existed at the time but in actual reality they lack so much, much more....
This is God's world, He created this world, thus He has the right to establish the guidelines by which man should live... If man doesn't want to obey God ways than God has given us the consequences for that disobedience, which is a separation from God for all eternity.

Scientific Facts In The Bible

The following was taken from a Bible Pathway Ministries Daily Devotional Guide.

********

These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: Beside the Sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord (Leviticus 23:37-38).

The LORD knows us better than we know ourselves. He understands how our minds work, and the limitations of our physical bodies. He knows how we process stressful situations, and what we need to functional an optimal level on a day-to-day basis. He understands our inherent need to rest and refocus.

For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not (Isaiah 30:15).

Fortunately, the LORD also understands the human tendency to get caught up in the "drama." He knew that the Israelites had been living for centuries in Egypt, a land of non-believers. They had been exposed to, and probable had take part in, many pagan celebrations. He understood that, without direction, they would continue to "rest and relax" in sinful ways.

The LORD set aside special days and weeks for the people to rest and reflect on their many blessing. Some of these days were meant for solemn reflection and inner growth, such as the Day of Atonement, while others were meant for joyous celebration, such as the Festival of Harvest. No matter the underlying reason for the Holy Day, they all shared one common theme. Each day was meant to draw the people closer to God. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).

The world today runs on a 24/7 schedule. Holy Days have given away to holidays, and on any given holiday over half the population will still be required to work a normal work day.

As a nation we have lost or focus on God. In our society there is no longer any one day set aside for His honor. As individuals living for Christ, we must not hide behind that excuse. We are blessed; once we have accepted Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit is with us all the time. Unlike the earlier Israelites, we don't have to make elaborate sacrifices and preparations in order to spend time with our LORD. However, that does not mean that we are not expected to set aside regular, scheduled time to spend with Him in reflection, worship, and celebration. If something is important to you , you make time for it. If God is important to you, then you will find the time to show it.

Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath Day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11).

Thought for Today: If God truly is the most important part of our lives, then we should always give Him our best.
