In Nearly Every Conversion

Together; my wife and I have visited a local business several times in the last two years or so, but in the last few months my wife has refused to accompany me to this business. I will not mention the name of this business nor the name of a particular salesman that has caused this concern within both my wife and myself.
I certainly agree with why she refuses to join me but that doesn't make me any happier with her decision. We, like most people have to make decisions on issues which we would rather not have to deal with or even consider. Just as issues between husbands and wives can vary greatly; so too, can issues between Christians and non-Christians.
This particular issue or maybe I should just call it what it really is that has bothered both of us; it is actually disrespect. This disrespect that I am speaking of today can even be more clearly defined as blaspheming God's Holy name and the use of profanity in nearly every conversion.
As the God of all of creation, He alone is worthy of all our praise and respect and this He has made clear in the first five of the Ten Commandments, which are:
1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall not make idols.
3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother.

In Leviticus 24, we are shown just how seriously God takes blasphemy of His name and profanity when the son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the Name of God with a curse; so they took him to Moses and Moses inquired of the LORD. And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, "Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him," (Lev. 24:14).
We also read in the Bible on issues of respect and disrespect shown to His servants as well, when in great respect and devotion Elisha would not leave the great Prophet Elijah’s side. And Elijah said unto him, “Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan.” And he (Elisha) said, “As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.” And they two went on, 2Kings 2:6.

Elisha had pledged himself to serve the LORD’s prophet, and he was determined to fulfill that pledge out of love and respect for his master. After Elijah’s departure Elisha received a double portion of Elijah’s spirit as Elijah’s heir.
Shortly thereafter as Elisha was on his way to Bethel, And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and (They) said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head, (2Kings 2:23). God’s response to this disrespect shown towards His Prophet was swift as two bears came forth immediately out of the woods and killed the mockers of Elisha.

Proverbs 1:1-7 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

True, we are living in the age of God's Grace, but the Bible does tell us that God is the same today as He was yesterday.

Praise the LORD, I believe there is nothing that we can do that God wouldn’t forgive when we come to Him in repentance of our sin asking for His forgiveness. God has proven this in my personal life in the past; and even more clearly by using me to deliver His message of forgiveness to a young lady, who had had an abortion 16 years earlier when the Holy Spirit spoke through my lips to this young Mother, promising a reunion with her first child when she gets to Heaven. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:29-32
